To determine if this is the cause of your issue try removing the ZebraDesigner Port Monitor. To remove the ZebraDesigner Port Monitor right click the Status Monitor in the System Tray (by the clock) and close the Status Monitor. If the problem is corrected remove the program using the Add/Remove Programs feature in the Windows Control Panel. Hi Alain, Many printers need an additional application installed in order to give more advanced status . This application is usually installed silently with the driver, including the TTP printers. The KR403 driver install gives you the choice of if you want that app installed and running or not . The app is called Zebra Status Monitor .

The solution to the problem that we ended up utilizing was to create a WinUSB driver for the printer. This way the device is treated as a USB device. A ZebraUSB object was created using the driver and a method called WriteRead was created. Using the WriteRead method we sent the ~HQES query to the printer and received a response. Sometimes there is some lag time between the query and the response.
Since this port has no association to a ZebraDesigner driver it does not know how to communicate with the Zebra printer. Solutions.
